We just returned from a nice vacation -- all 6 of us! We went to Alabama for the first part of the week, got to see Bran's brother, Seth, ski in a professional tournament in Tuscaloosa. It was a bit of planes, trains, and automobiles getting there... I had a 3 day meeting in Nashville that I couldn't change that ran up against the weekend, Bran was driving in with the kids, and Saundra and Danny flew down with Lucas (I met them at the airport) so that Bran wouldn't have him for the long drive.
After the weekend, we went to Arab to spend a few days with the rest of his family and got some time relaxing by the water. Then we headed up to Ohio for a few days and the 4th of July weekend. The kids had a blast and we enjoyed seeing everyone. A bit exhausting making the "rounds" but it was worth it!
The kids all have new Alabama gear, and Nicholas ended up with a "gum wall" shirt. Only the Ohioans would understand that one.
