CT Results

We got the CT... and its FINE!!! Dr. Yaun couldn't wait to give us the good news. We got to see it and it looked even better than the one on Dec 10 when it was "the best ever." Now the Jan 12 pictures are the best ever! She said the pressure that the ophthamologist was seeing was still showing from the pressure prior to the surgeries in November. It can take several months for the evidence of pressure to go down. Finally, some good news! It was such a relief, we were convinced we were going to be scheduling another surgery last week!

She also made us feel a little better about the number of CT's he's had... it is always a risk getting radiation with CT scans, so they don't like to do very many if they can avoid it. And with the past few months he's had, we've been worried about too many. She said although there are still things we don't know about its long-term effects, she wouldn't put him anywhere near the category of too many just yet. And, she said its not the frequency of them, its the overall quantity. So, if he goes a few years without a high number of them, we should be in good shape.
